Penny's Journey to Coaching
" Define yourself through your own eyes, and through your eyes others will see."-Penny Stollmeyer

Penny Stollmeyer has had a passion for helping others since childhood. Penny was born with cerebral palsy and understands how challenging life can be. She understands that in addition to all of the daily worries and concerns in life, managing basic routines can be a struggle. Coupled with self doubt and self esteem issues, achieving goals may seem even more out of reach. Knowing first hand how difficult life can be, Penny was inspired to become a support system for others and help people improve their lives. She decided to pursue a career in Social Work. While working and raising her son, Penny obtained her BSW (Bachelors in Social Work) from Kean University. With years of experience in the field, she worked with homeless adolescents, the elderly, developmentally disabled, autistic adults, and physical rehabilitation patients.Penny felt that even though she was able to help others in the Social Work field, there was something missing. She felt there was more that she could offer and that true change can only come from within.
One day while doing research on the internet, Penny discovered life coaching. From that moment on, she knew that coaching would enable her to empower others to create positive changes in their lives. Penny decided to enroll in a coaching program at the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (IPEC), which is accredited by the International Coach Federation. While receiving her coaching training, Penny worked as a preschool teacher. She graduated in April 2008 from IPEC as a Life Empowerment Coach and received her CEC (Certified Empowerment Coach) certification shortly after. She is also an active member of the following organizations:
- NASW (National Association of Social Workers)
- Cambridge Who's Who among Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs
- NJPCA (New Jersey Professional Coaches Association)
- ICF (International Coach Federation)
Penny knows firsthand how important it is to accept and love yourself whole-heartedly. To succeed in life, you must hold the power within-(with this anything is possible). It is her passion to help you see that you have all you need to live a happy, successful life. She is uniquely qualified to help you embrace who you are and utilize your strengths to your advantage.
